INDIANAPOLIS — An event celebrating women trailblazers across all sports will be taking center stage during the WNBA All-Star Week and will feature the first player to sign to the league.
"She's Got Now" will highlight the WNBA legends past and present.
Sheryl Swoopes, the first player to sign with the WNBA and a hall of Famer, will be in attendance.
"I am super excited to be a part of this, I'm super excited to see everyone that will be there and I'm excited to celebrate each other," Swoopes said.
Swoopes also spoke with WRTV about the WNBA's rise in popularity.
"I don't know if I thought, honestly, that I would be around to actually witness what we're witnessing right now," Swoopes said. "To me this is bigger than a moment this is a movement.
The "She's Got Now" luncheon is happening on Thursday at the Indy Arts Garden starting at 2 p.m.
