GREENFIELD — At the request of the Greenfield Police Department, Indiana State Police is investigating an officer-involved shooting in which the suspect died.

According to ISP, the incident occurred around 9:20 p.m. on Sedgewick Lane. Officers were responding to a domestic disturbance.

Upon arrival, 54-year-old Ted Feasel answered the door but then quickly closed it when they tried to speak with him. The officers continued to talk to Feasel through the door.

When the officers opened the door, Feasel was standing close by and pointing a handgun directly at them while they remained outside.

ISP said three officers fired their weapons in response, wounding Feasel.

The officers provided emergency medical care while other officers entered the home, searching for any other potential injured people.

Feasel was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

ISP confirmed that no other officers or bystanders were injured.

ISP named the officers involved: 10-year veteran Blake Crull, six-year veteran Jarrod Davis, and five-year veteran Ryan Morefield. All have been placed on administrative leave, per standard department protocol.

ISP will review the body camera footage while conducting its investigation.

The investigation is ongoing.
